UC Factors is a factoring company whose mission is to assist small to mid-sized businesses achieve their goals of growing and maturing into successful and larger organizations.  We recognize that small, growing, and new businesses face barriers and obstacles when seeking financing for their companies.  As a factor, we purchase accounts receivable but we are not lenders.  We are able to help companies when banks or other lenders say “no”.

Our history goes back to the early 1950’s when Ralph Perkins and Al Robertson started a small commercial finance company in Southern California.  These entrepreneurs saw a niche in providing financial services to small businesses.  Factoring has been around for hundreds of years and in the early days was offered to large textile and garment companies.  Our founders pioneered factoring to be used for transportation, light manufacturing, staffing and distribution companies, all which remain our core focus.

Our staff is experienced in A/R management in the areas of credit checking, setting credit limits, documentation, data processing, payment posting, collections and customer service.  We take great pride in the high quality of service we provide our clients and their customers and strive to exceed our clients’ expectations.

UC Factors continues to apply the same methods of treating our clients with respect and personal attention as we have since our incorporation in 1975.  Advances in technology have enabled us to do more business and process transactions with greater speed and ease to better serve our clients.  As Al Robertson used to say, “Work smarter, (not harder)” and today, (with our experience and technology) we certainly do.
